Georgie Day

Georgie Day is a documentary photographer and filmmaker.

Her practice focuses on the contradictions that make up our societies and their people. Her stories are rooted in the mountains, conflicts, humanitarian emergencies, and the agriculture industry. She is fascinated by the complexities and the duplicity of people.

Born in London and then raised in the mountains of Chamonix Mont-Blanc, Georgie is a bilingual Photographer and Filmmaker. She has a Bachelor’s degree in photography and a Master's in Documentary Film-Making from UCL.

Furthermore, she has worked with NGOs documenting conflict and humanitarian emergencies. This work has taken her to Romania, Poland, India, and Moldova.

Finally, her passion is documenting stories in the Alps. She relishes narratives that are based in the mountains. Multi sports adventures in a high mountain environment, where she is most comfortable.

No matter the story, she strives to be an empathetic storyteller.
