Marie, Dominique, Christophe, and Manou have spent their whole lives on their family farm. For the past 70 years, they have been getting up at 4 am to set up the market and farm their fields. What started as their mother's way of feeding 12 children has evolved into their livelihood. Age is catching up with the children who never left. It’s forcing them to slow down.
This film follows the siblings in what is supposedly their last year of farming. During this time we observe their daily lives and watch them as they debate whether to continue farming or not. They can barely make up their own minds let alone agree on a course of action. Through their life story and this dilemma, this film contemplates the fear of losing purpose.
